For my work-study, I read with kids at Colton Elementary School twice a week. Mrs.Boogay’s 1st grade class is awesome! I love the kids, and they are so great about reading with me. I have a set of kids I read with every week- they generally read to me for about 20 minutes, but can read as long as they wish. At recess I read with any kids that want to read with me. It has been great to see them every week, and we’ve gotten so comfortable with each other. It has been amazing to see the progress as well. The kids that were reading below grade level are just as good- if not better than the normal kids now. Yay!
Mr Grump is the kids favorite book. They all know it by heart (and so do I!)
