Piping hot 15cent happiness! The girls at the bakery all know me now and greet me with big smiles. I now pay the local price 3.5 dong, which is a big thing! Tonight I waited a few minutes for the bread and got it straight out of the oven. Mmm, it's all I can do, not to eat the whole thing tonite!

Last night I went in to my usual bakery for bread. One of the girls recognized me, and got me 2 loafs. I paid 10,000 and expected to get 2,000 back. I usually pay 4,000each. BUT, I got back 3,000, which means, I paid ONLY 3,500 each! Yes, 500 is pocket change, only about 25cents, but, 3,500 is what the locals pay! I was so stoked and proud of myself. Even Ai and Tim said, “that’s big!” J
